Sapper Horace Moore-Jones led a remarkable life. He was a Gallipoli First World War artist, map maker and local hero who died while saving the lives of others in the tragic 1922 Hamilton Hotel fire. After the war he exhibited his work in the UK and in particular at Buckingham Palace. In our quest to raise funds for children leading incredibly tough lives, our volunteers are everything to the work of the gallery and gift shop. They are dedicated, determined and frankly unstoppable. Today we celebrated Vera Robinson's 90th birthday, who remains junior in age to two other stalwart volunteers, Catherine Dickie and Heather Allan.
