Hong Cumming's 596 Victoria Street from the Waikato Watercolourists III exhibition has been sold to a local collector. Now the site of the Londoner pub and restaurant, the building has gone through many iterations in its near 100 year history This includes the location of iconic kiwi folding chairs, made by Storkline. The Welcome Swallow gallery retains two such chairs (see below) purchased from the building in 1950. Every painting has a story....
