Port Waikato, currently cut off to the world at the time of writing, courtesy of Cyclone Gabrielle, has, nevertheless, been brilliantly captured by gallery artist, Bernadette Parsons. The painting that has attracted considerable attention from the opening of the exhibition, The Waikato Watercolourists III, has been sold to a family with deep connections to the Port and its surrounding geography.
