From the Drawn From Life exhibition, this figurative study by Ron Stenberg captured the imagination of attendees at the opening night of the exhibition, now sold to a collector of fine art.

Always ready with his sketch book, in the way young people are now with their phone cameras, Ron drew the people that sparked his interest. The Record Keeper may possibly have been keeping the score at a cricket match or some other sporting fixture. Ron was always keen on sport and attended many local games. This work was probably done in the early 1960s in Scotland.
