This delightful watercolour, Zenders Café, by new gallery artist Chris Greenslade, has quickly sold from the 2023 Winter Collection. As with his other compositions in this collection, Chris captures his subject with an intimate delicacy, while nested in blended colours resplendent of a grand narrative. This is especially true of his painting (see below), December at Waitarere Beach that won the Watercolour New Zealand Winsor & Newton Summer Competition 2023; also on temporary display in the Winter Collection exhibition.
