Sandra Barlow's  composition AF1s follows a Still Life tradition that stretches back to van Gogh's 1888 painting, Shoes. This contemporary, delicately illustrated watercolour, invites the viewer to imagine activities, past and future that are associated with the iconic AF1 Nike brand. Although currently 'at rest' this footwear clearly envisages nascent movement. Sold to a local collector.
