At 5.30pm Friday 30th June, on a cold wet and windy night a packed gallery braved the elements to enjoy the new Winter Collection. This new fine art collection introduced three artists new to the Welcome Swallow Gallery. Bernadette Ballantyne
Chris Greenslade and Renata Nemeth, joined, Sue Currie, Charlotte Giblin, Toni Kingstone, Juliet Roper, Stephen Milner, Rebecca Dowman-Ngapo and Kirsten McIntosh in presenting the 2023 Winter Collection. The event, sponsored by Montana Catering  provided stonking canapes on the opening night while serving wine provided by the Trust . 

For the first time, the Volunteers' Choice Award provided joint winners, respectively, as seen below,  Kirsten McIntosh (R) for her magnificent composition, Symphony of LIght and Bernadette Ballantye (L) for her supreme pastel, Whakaaro Nui Owl.
